Role Overview

We are looking for a Head of Engineering to lead our engineering divisions across diverse product lines and geographies. The role melds strategic vision with operational leadership to build platforms that are scalable, secure, and performant, aligning closely with business expansion and compliance demands. The position collaborates extensively with Product, Data, Security, Infrastructure, and Executive Leadership to transform business goals into technology solutions, while fostering a culture of high accountability and excellence in engineering teams.

Main Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive engineering strategy that supports the company’s growth and long-term technology objectives.
• Oversee multiple engineering units covering backend, frontend, mobile, platform, and infrastructure teams.
• Set and enforce engineering standards, best practices, and governance models across all development teams.
• Manage the architecture, creation, and deployment of robust, high-availability fintech and trading platforms.
• Ensure optimal system reliability, performance, security, and scalability in dynamic, high-volume trading environments.
• Lead architectural decisions and guide technical roadmaps focusing on platform modernization.
• Recruit, mentor, and retain leadership including Engineering Managers, Technical Leads, and Architects.
• Cultivate a culture built on quality, responsibility, continuous improvements, and ownership within engineering.
• Support strategic workforce planning, team organizational design, and succession plans.
• Work collaboratively with Product, Compliance, Risk, Security, and Operations departments to synchronize delivery efforts.
• Convert complex business requirements into actionable engineering plans with clear priorities and deadlines.
• Provide senior-level technical counsel to executive leadership.
• Ensure all engineering work complies with regulatory, security, and operational standards.
• Implement metrics and monitoring systems to assess and improve engineering productivity and outcomes.
• Identify technical debt and mitigate risks related to delivery and scalability challenges.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in senior engineering leadership roles within fintech, financial services, trading, or similarly regulated high-scale tech sectors.
• Proven success managing large, geographically distributed teams working across multiple products or markets.
• Hands-on experience delivering sophisticated, high-traffic platforms with stringent security and compliance requirements.
• Deep expertise in contemporary software architecture, cloud computing platforms, and scalable system engineering.
• Strong strategic thinking combined with practical delivery management and oversight capabilities.
• Experience fostering engineering discipline and organizational maturity.
• Exceptional communication skills with executive stakeholders.
• Ability to lead through rapid change and align technical execution with overarching business goals.
• Decisive leadership in fast-moving and scaling environments.
