About the Role
This senior leadership position spearheads the rapid expansion and profitability enhancement of the company's e-commerce platforms. The individual will craft and implement robust growth strategies aimed at significantly boosting Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) by refining marketplace seller management, leveraging data analytics, optimizing pricing, fulfillment, advertising revenue, and embracing technological advances. The role entails leading cross-disciplinary teams to optimize seller results and operational efficiency, positioning the organization as a dominant force in the digital retail space.
Primary Responsibilities
- Devise and apply bold growth plans to substantially raise GMV and expand market presence.
- Pinpoint and pursue growth avenues including market expansion, product range diversification, pricing schemes, catalog oversight, and promotion strategies.
- Create innovative initiatives for customer acquisition across diverse digital platforms and enhance retention via tailored experiences, loyalty schemes, and outstanding service.
- Lead product assortment growth and regional/international market entry efforts in coordination with merchandising and supply chain teams to ensure alignment with demand.
- Manage marketplace seller lifecycle by onboarding quality vendors, monitoring performance metrics, addressing issues, and fostering engagement to minimize churn.
- Collaborate with analytics to transform data insights into targeted marketing, pricing refinements, and product improvements, fostering a data-driven culture.
- Partner with technology teams to optimize digital platforms and marketplace tools, promoting innovation and operational scalability.
- Develop, coach, and lead dynamic teams across digital marketing, e-commerce operations, and marketplace management, encouraging innovation and accountability.
- Engage proactively with internal departments and external partners to achieve strategic goals and strengthen vendor relationships.
