Role Overview

The Head Coach will spearhead the player and talent development initiatives, ensuring high coaching quality, fostering a competitive and winning environment, and elevating the academy's reputation in cricket advancement. This executive role requires exceptional leadership, innovative approaches, and profound passion for the game.

Core Responsibilities

• Design and manage the entire Youth Development Pathway from under-8 grassroots level up to high-performance cohorts.
• Lead programs such as the Emerging Player Program (EPP) and Scholarship Batches to promote comprehensive player growth.
• Collaborate with lead and specialist coaches to formulate and implement yearly coaching strategies.
• Coordinate and conduct domestic and international coaching tours and camps.
• Deliver engaging group and individual coaching sessions tailored to distinct age groups.
• Develop innovative, philosophy-aligned coaching programs embracing modern methods.
• Establish a culture focused on high performance, teamwork, and a winning mindset.
• Offer continuous constructive feedback to players and coaching staff to promote ongoing development.
• Manage, guide, and support a diverse team of full-time and part-time coaches, fostering professional advancement.
• Generate a collaborative atmosphere among coaches, support personnel, and players.
• Oversee recruitment and selection for coaching staff and players effectively.
• Drive Continual Professional Development (CPD) initiatives enhancing coaches’ skills.
• Support academy’s strategic efforts including sponsorship acquisition and commercial ventures.
• Work in coordination with the Global Head Coach, captains, and support teams to synchronize development goals.
• Maintain updated, engaging communication materials for program promotion.
• Organize annual tournaments spanning school, academy, and club levels.
• Launch satellite coaching programs in schools and community centers to broaden grassroots cricket.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Coaching certification of minimum BCCI/NCA Level 2, ICC Level 2, or ECB Level 3.
• At least 5 years coaching experience across all player age groups, ideally within recognized cricket academies.
• Specialization in one or more areas: batting, seam or spin bowling, wicketkeeping, or fielding.
• Comprehensive knowledge of BCCI Domestic Pathways and grassroots cricket initiatives.
• Proven success in identifying talent and facilitating player development.
• Strong leadership qualities with capacity to inspire teams and individuals.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills suitable for interaction with players, parents, and various stakeholders.

Preferred Additional Skills

• IT literacy including experience with video analysis and cricket program management tools.
• First Aid certification and completed police verification.
• Possessing a growth mindset combined with calmness under pressure.

Additional Requirements

• Advanced coaching credentials such as NCA/ICC Level 3 or ECB Level 4 preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Sports Science, Coaching, or a related discipline.
• Experienced in the application of performance and video analysis tools.
