About the Role
Our client, a distinguished automobile dealership group based in Karnataka, is searching for a seasoned finance leader to join as Group Finance Controller. This pivotal leadership position reports directly to the Managing Director and is situated in Bangalore, with preference given to candidates already residing there.
Key Qualifications and Experience
- Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA) - this is non-negotiable.
- Possess 20 to 25 years of experience post-qualification, specifically in managing sizable group companies within the automobile dealership sector operating multiple locations.
- Preferred age is between 45 and 50 years.
Primary Responsibilities
- Uphold stringent financial governance by maintaining high accounting standards, timely preparation and filing of group balance sheets, and ensuring full statutory compliance.
- Regularly visit branches across Karnataka (at least once a month or as necessary) to verify branch-level finances and boost the morale and performance of finance personnel.
- Lead, mentor, and synchronize finance teams at both the corporate headquarters and branches to maintain strong financial operations.
- Collaborate closely with the Managing Director to provide accurate financial forecasting, budgeting, effective cost control, and ERP-related insights.
- Exhibit excellent spoken and written communication skills in English and Kannada; familiarity with Hindi is an added advantage.
