Position Overview
Aptive is looking for a creative and motivated Graphic Designer/Multimedia Specialist to join their contingent workforce. This position involves producing visually engaging graphics, videos, presentations, and digital assets that communicate complex program messages effectively to a broad audience. The role requires a detail-oriented designer with strong visual communication capabilities, adept at translating program goals into captivating visual narratives. The job offers remote flexibility with occasional travel for client meetings. Candidates must thrive in a fast-paced setting, manage multiple deadlines, ensure accessibility compliance, and align deliverables with client branding and digital strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Design high-quality professional graphics, publications, and multimedia materials supporting outreach efforts such as websites, videos, presentations, brochures, events, and branding campaigns.
- Create and modify visual and multimedia content adhering to client branding, messaging, and digital guidelines.
- Assist in producing communication tools like infographics, case studies, marketing collateral, and briefing decks.
- Guarantee all outputs meet Section 508 accessibility standards to engage diverse audiences.
- Work collaboratively with the communications team to transform core messages into striking visual content.
- Provide visual support for events, web content, and social media channels, ensuring design consistency and high quality.
- Handle several projects concurrently, meeting deadlines while maintaining meticulous attention to detail.
- Incorporate feedback effectively from clients and team members for continuous improvement of deliverables.
- Keep abreast of the latest graphic design and multimedia production trends and practices.
Qualifications and Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in graphic design and multimedia production.
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, Multimedia, or a related discipline.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud suite, including Photoshop, Illustrator, Premiere Pro, and After Effects.
- A portfolio showcasing federal or public sector design work is required.
- Knowledge of Section 508 accessibility standards is preferred.
- Experience working on complex federal government projects or similar environments.
- Ability to obtain and maintain Department of Homeland Security suitability/public trust clearance.
- Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.
