About the Role
The Atlanta Gladiators are inviting passionate, inventive, and driven individuals to join our Graphic Design team as interns. This role offers a valuable chance for students or recent graduates to acquire substantial experience in graphic design and brand storytelling within the dynamic environment of the ECHL.
Interns will collaborate closely with the Gladiators team on diverse design and marketing initiatives, gaining hands-on exposure and practical skills.
Key Objectives
- Refine sports branding expertise
- Develop a professional portfolio with authentic projects
- Work within an active and creative team setting
Responsibilities
- Create visual graphics intended for print and digital media
- Participate in idea generation sessions and creative brainstorming
- Work collaboratively with Gladiators staff and marketing teams to improve and finalize design materials
- Assist in planning design components for marketing campaigns and promotional content
- Produce motion graphics for social media, the official website, and in-arena presentations
- Aid in organizing and implementing social media marketing efforts
- Take on additional related tasks as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Background in graphic design via coursework, freelance projects, or academic assignments
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud software (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects) and Microsoft Office tools
- Capability to handle multiple design projects, adhere to deadlines, and ensure consistent branding
- High attention to detail, including accuracy in spelling, grammar, and visual layout
- Self-driven with proactive initiative
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in team environments
- Interest in sports and design; knowledge of hockey, video, or photography is advantageous
Compensation & Additional Information
- This internship is unpaid; however, interns requiring school credit can accrue the corresponding hours
