Role Overview
The Global Project Management Director position is a full-time, remote role accountable for directing and managing strategic initiatives across GBM Asset Management’s worldwide operations. This role leads diverse project teams to establish project scopes, define milestones, and guarantee on-time completion of efforts that bolster the company’s investment, technological, and operational goals. Daily activities encompass administering project portfolios, ensuring alignment of program aims with the firm’s business strategies, supervising budgets and resource deployment, and overseeing risks and related dependencies.
The Director is also tasked with enhancing processes, standardizing project management methodologies, and endorsing best practice adoption globally. Close coordination with senior executives is required to provide transparent reporting, assist decision-making, and nurture a workplace culture focused on responsibility and ongoing improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Expertise in program and project management to steer complex, multi-regional initiatives and oversee extensive project portfolios.
- Proven ability in budgeting, including accurate forecasting, cost management, and financial oversight of large programs.
- Strong leadership skills to guide cross-functional teams, influence key stakeholders, and cultivate a collaborative and inclusive environment.
- Experience in process optimization by creating and implementing standardized workflows, governance structures, and performance indicators.
- Significant history of leading global projects or programs within financial services, asset management, or connected fields.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, capable of articulating intricate information clearly to top management.
- Adaptable to remote work managing distributed teams across different time zones, with proficiency in digital collaboration technologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, or related disciplines; advanced degrees or certifications such as PMP or PgMP are preferred.
