Role Overview
We are looking for a dynamic, energetic, and solution-oriented General Manager based in Dublin to oversee two aparthotel properties—Staycity Christchurch (35 keys) and Staycity Dublin Castle (50 keys)—located close to one another. This leadership role involves ensuring operational excellence, revenue growth, staff development, and a memorable guest experience aligned with Staycity's values.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support all Heads of Department (front office, housekeeping, maintenance, sales, revenue) to ensure smooth daily operations across both sites.
- Ensure all departments follow Staycity Group standard operating procedures and address any feedback promptly.
- Assess and monitor the performance of individuals and teams against their objectives to foster a culture of high achievement.
- Manage budgeting by producing accurate financial forecasts for revenue and expenditures, communicating any deviations to Executive Operations Director urgently.
- Guarantee compliance with all statutory regulations, including health & safety and corporate policies.
- Implement training programs enhancing departmental skills, aligning staff development with strategic targets.
- Promote interdepartmental collaboration and communication to optimize organizational efficiency.
- Address and resolve guest complaints and feedback professionally and within company guidelines, ensuring exceptional guest satisfaction.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 3 years of leadership experience in a comparable general management role within the hotel or aparthotel sector.
- Proven track record of driving commercial success through strategic initiatives.
- Strong fluency in English, both written and spoken.
- Excellent interpersonal skills with a humble, approachable demeanor fostering inclusivity.
- Innovative thinker with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Highly self-driven with the capability to motivate and manage teams effectively.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to make sound, timely decisions under pressure and engage in strategic business discussions.
- Demonstrated ability in team motivation, appraisal, support, and challenge to deliver superior business results.
- Experience in overseeing training initiatives and participating actively in daily departmental operations and culture building.
- A bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management or a related discipline is preferred.
