Role Overview

Orion is looking for an experienced GenAI Lead to drive advanced Generative AI initiatives. In this position, you will use modern AI models, cloud platforms, and agile delivery practices to build innovative, scalable, and efficient AI-powered applications. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to shape solutions that are reliable, high-performing, and ready for production.

Location

This role is available in Chennai, Tamil Nadu; Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu; and Kochi, Kerala, with a hybrid working model.

Key Responsibilities

• Take ownership of end-to-end development and rollout of Generative AI solutions using technologies such as Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, and LangChain.
• Build and manage dependable CI/CD workflows with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions.
• Lead full-stack engineering efforts with emphasis on observability, reliability, and scalable architecture.
• Put AI governance practices in place to support ethical, compliant use of AI systems.
• Partner with stakeholders to clarify goals, requirements, and success measures for each initiative.
• Apply Agile methods to organize work and deliver outcomes effectively.
• Keep track of emerging AI developments and bring relevant improvements into project plans.

Required Experience and Skills

• Strong working knowledge of Generative AI platforms and frameworks including Azure OpenAI, Semantic Kernel, and LangChain.
• Excellent hands-on experience in Python, FastAPI, and full-stack development.
• Practical exposure to Azure cloud services such as Azure DevOps, Azure API Management, Azure Cosmos DB, and Azure PostgreSQL.
• Experience with containerization and deployment tools like Docker and Cloud Foundry.
• Understanding of observability practices and tools to support stable application performance.
• Solid grasp of AI governance and responsible AI principles.
• At least 8 years of experience in roles involving advanced AI and software development.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to other cloud environments, including AWS.
• Working familiarity with frontend frameworks such as React.
• Ability to manage stakeholders and collaborate effectively across teams.
• Comfort with development tools such as Git and GitHub Copilot.
• Awareness of advanced LLMs such as Claude.
