Role Overview

This position focuses on the refurbishment and maintenance of industrial gas turbines, power turbines, and their related components and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Uphold engineering standards, maintain workplace discipline, punctuality, and cleanliness.
• Handle the entire turbine overhaul process including initial receipt, bulk dismantling, detailed stripping, subassembly, and final assembly of gas and power turbines.
• Provide training to internal team members.
• Comply with all procedural requirements and document the overhaul activities accurately.
• Precisely record critical fits and clearances during the overhaul.
• Identify and report any measurements that fall outside tolerances or any defective or inadequately refurbished parts.
• Ensure the safe and proper use of specialized tools and equipment, maintain their storage, and immediately report any faulty or missing items to supervisors.

Qualifications and Experience

• Desirable education includes completion of ITI or SVQ or equivalent qualifications.
• A minimum of six years’ practical experience in overhauling and repairing gas turbines is required.
• Prior experience in a similar fitting or overhaul role is advantageous.
• Technical knowledge of gas turbine repair and refurbishment is beneficial.
• Experience working as a senior member in workshop fabrication, repair, or construction settings is preferred.
