Fund Accounting Analyst

About the Role

Our client is a global alternative asset wealth management firm expanding its operations in Dublin. They are seeking a skilled Fund Accounting Analyst to join their growing finance team. This role provides extensive exposure to complex fund structures and requires close collaboration with international stakeholders across various business units.

Key Responsibilities

• Work closely with global teams to prepare and review fund accounting documentation including NAV calculations and performance reports.
• Manage monthly and quarterly closing activities for intricate alternative investment funds.
• Conduct thorough reviews of outputs produced by external fund administrators.
• Ensure cash reconciliations and the precision of interest, dividend, and expense accruals.
• Provide support during year-end audits and coordinate with external auditors.
• Help determine the correct accounting treatment for diverse transactions.
• Collaborate effectively with trading, operations, legal, tax, and investor relations teams.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• ACA qualification with 1 to 5 years of post-qualification experience in fund accounting, ideally gained with a Big 4 accounting firm.
• Experience working with hedge funds, private equity, or alternative investment products.
• Firm understanding of fixed income securities and derivatives.
• Proficiency in advanced Excel functions and strong analytical capabilities.
• Self-motivated and able to perform well in a fast-paced, multinational setting.
• Excellent communicator with effective stakeholder management skills.
