About the Role

We are hiring a Full Time Public Area Cleaner to become a vital part of the Housekeeping Team at Sheraton Grand Hotel & Spa in Edinburgh, delivering services 40 hours per week. This opportunity involves shifts starting as early as 5am and extending to midnight, supporting one of Scotland's premier 5-star hotels known for its extensive banqueting and meeting facilities for up to 500 guests, and its distinguished One Square Restaurant and bar.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of public spaces and lifts, promptly removing rubbish, soiled crockery, and glassware.
  • Ensure all public zones meet the specified brand standards consistently.
  • Help create a flawless guest experience by paying close attention to detail.
  • Work cooperatively within the Housekeeping and wider hotel teams to sustain high standards throughout the day.
  • Prepare cleaning equipment and supplies, keeping them organized and ready.
  • Identify, report, and follow up on maintenance or repair issues swiftly.
  • Respond promptly to guest requests and operational requirements.
  • Comply with all lost property, safety, and environmental protocols.
  • Handle phone inquiries related to general housekeeping tasks and requests professionally.
