Front Office Receptionist / Guest Relations Associate

Role overview

Sheen Falls Lodge in Kenmare, County Kerry is looking for an experienced front office professional to join its team. The role calls for someone with 1–2 years of experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel setting who can support the daily running of the front desk and guest relations function.

What the role involves

You will be part of the Front Office team and help manage the everyday flow of the department. This includes reservations, guest arrival and departure handling, assigning rooms, processing billing, and acting as a primary contact for guests throughout their stay.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests in a friendly, polished, and professional manner.
• Deal with bookings, guest questions, and written or verbal correspondence in an efficient way.
• Make sure billing is accurate and that check-in and check-out are handled smoothly.
• Keep communication flowing clearly between colleagues and management.
• Maintain high standards of presentation, service quality, and security at all times.

Requirements

• 1–2 years of prior front office experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel.
• Strong spoken and written English.
• Experience using Hotsoft and Tablepath is preferred.
• Good administrative, organisational, and communication abilities.
• Clear enthusiasm for delivering outstanding guest service.

Working pattern

The position follows 8-hour shifts, five days out of seven, and includes weekend and bank holiday work.
