Role Overview

We are looking to onboard a seasoned Fractional Chief Financial Officer to guide our financial strategy and operations on a part-time or consultancy basis. This position will focus on strategic financial leadership, encompassing financial planning, budgeting, cash flow oversight, profitability evaluations, compliance management, and comprehensive financial reporting to support business growth and operational excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute the corporate financial strategy in line with business goals.
• Develop and supervise annual budgets, forecasts, and comprehensive business plans.
• Manage cash flows and optimize the working capital cycle.
• Conduct profitability assessments across projects, product categories, and business units.
• Implement financial controls, policies, and reporting mechanisms.
• Review monthly financial statements, MIS reports, and monitor key performance metrics.
• Offer strategic insights to enhance profitability and streamline operations.
• Oversee project costings, margin monitoring, and overall financial health.
• Support pricing formulation, cost efficiency initiatives, and contract assessments.
• Guarantee adherence to statutory, tax, GST, audit, and regulatory guidelines.
• Collaborate with the accounting team for accurate financial reporting and reconciliations.
• Coordinate with auditors, bankers, financial institutions, and consultants.
• Assess investment proposals, capital expenditures, and financing needs.
• Assist leadership in business expansion strategies, risk management, and financial planning.
• Present detailed financial reports and actionable recommendations to senior management.

Required Skills and Expertise

• Expertise in financial planning and analysis (FP&A).
• Proven strategic financial leadership and business advisory capabilities.
• Advanced budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow management skills.
• Proficient in project cost analysis and profitability evaluation.
• Comprehensive knowledge of Indian accounting standards, GST, taxation, and statutory compliance.
• Strong analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
• Effective communication and presentation prowess.
• Familiarity with financial reporting software, ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, and accounting applications.

Qualifications & Experience

• Mandatory Chartered Accountant (CA) certification.
• MBA in Finance or equivalent qualification is a plus.
• 12 to 20 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting roles.
• Previous roles as CFO, Finance Head, or Senior Finance Leader preferred.
• Industry experience in construction, interior fit-out, manufacturing, engineering, lighting, architectural products, or project-oriented businesses is advantageous.
• Experience serving as a Fractional CFO or financial consultant is a distinct benefit.

Engagement Details

This role is designed for part-time, fractional, or consulting engagement types, offering flexible work schedules complemented by on-site meetings as needed in Mumbai.

Compensation

The monthly remuneration for this position ranges between 35,000 and 40,000 INR.
