Job Overview
The position is based at one of southern Germany's last remaining foundries located in Augsburg. The role emphasizes both high-quality standards and collaborative teamwork, fundamental to delivering successful products. This temporary opportunity spans 24 months with potential for conversion to a permanent role.
Key Responsibilities
- Working in the molding shop to prepare and fill casting molds.
- Handling decanting of casting molds.
- Operating in the core shop to fill simple to complex cores.
- Shelling cores from straightforward to intricate structures.
- Applying plaster to large cores up to 6 tons in weight.
- Finishing complex cores through refractory coating techniques.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completed technical or vocational training, such as bricklaying, civil engineering, or landscaping; alternatively, significant professional experience in a skilled trade.
- Ability to read and understand technical drawings.
- Strong spatial thinking and physical capability to perform manual labor.
- Possession of a crane (bridge crane) license is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, coupled with eagerness to learn.
- Availability to work physical shifts, including 3-shift rotations and permanent early shifts.
- Basic proficiency in spoken and written German or English for interview purposes and communication.
