Role Overview
This full-time Food Service Worker position is based at a school cafeteria in Parrish, Alabama. The role centers on helping prepare and serve meals for students and staff while keeping the service environment orderly, sanitary, and welcoming. It is a good fit for dependable people who enjoy routine work, teamwork, and supporting a school community.
What You’ll Do
- Prepare and serve meals according to recipes, production records, and food safety requirements.
- Keep the kitchen and serving areas clean, safe, and organized throughout the day.
- Refill serving lines, salad bars, and milk coolers as needed.
- Handle food storage, stock rotation, and sanitation procedures correctly.
- Serve students, staff, and visitors politely and professionally.
- Assist with unloading deliveries and arranging inventory.
- Sweep, mop, and remove trash when required.
- Follow all applicable local, state, federal, and company health rules.
- Support teammates when needed, including covering shifts or stepping in during busy periods.
- Complete reports and other assigned tasks by required deadlines.
- Take on additional duties that help the kitchen and school meal program run smoothly.
What We’re Looking For
Applicants should be reliable, comfortable with repetitive routines, and able to work well with others. Prior experience in food service or cleaning is preferred, but not required. You should be capable of basic math and computer use, and willing to work in a school environment around children with a respectful and professional attitude.
Work Conditions
- Must be able to remain standing for a full shift.
- Should be able to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.
- Regular bending, reaching, walking, and hand use are part of the job.
- Work takes place in a busy kitchen with moderate noise and frequent movement.
- The standard schedule is Monday through Friday, with some weeks possibly running longer.
- Participation in company events or meetings may be required.
