Food and Beverage Server

Overview

This role is for a food and beverage server based in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. The position is to be performed at the workplace, with no remote-work option.

Language

English is required for this position.

Education

A secondary school graduation certificate is required.

Experience

Prior experience is considered an asset, but it is not mandatory.

Work Location

This is an on-site job. All duties must be carried out at the physical location.

Responsibilities

• Handle customer concerns and complaints in a professional manner.
• Prepare and present bills, and process payments through cash, credit card, debit card, traveller’s cheques, or room billing.
• Explain menu items, including the day’s specials, to guests.
• Follow provincial or territorial liquor laws and related regulations.
• Recommend dishes and beverages based on customer preferences.
• Count and balance cash, and maintain sales records.
• Remove used items and keep tables, trays, and chairs clean.
• Welcome guests, provide menus, suggest options, and respond to questions about food and drinks.
• Deliver food and beverages to patrons.
• Take orders and communicate them to kitchen and bar teams.
• Offer courteous and efficient customer service.
