Role Overview

Leeside Talent Solutions is looking for a seasoned Financial Controller to head the finance operations for a thriving industrial enterprise. This key position involves leading financial reporting, internal controls, budgeting, and analysis while delivering commercial insights to enhance business results and strategic planning.

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversee preparation of monthly management accounts, financial statements, and year-end accounts
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning activities
• Supervise financial controls, account reconciliations, cash flow management, and working capital optimization
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations, audits, and statutory obligations
• Collaborate with operational teams to drive profitability improvements, control costs, and boost performance
• Provide senior leadership with financial analysis, key performance indicators, and commercial guidance
• Lead and nurture the finance team to achieve high performance
• Champion enhancements in finance systems, procedures, and reporting methodologies

Qualifications & Experience

• Professional accounting certification such as ACA, ACCA, CPA, or CIMA
• Significant post-qualification experience in senior finance roles
• Preferred experience in manufacturing, industrial, or process-based sectors
• Expertise in financial reporting, budgeting, and business partnership
• Demonstrated leadership and team management skills
• Proficient with ERP software and advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
