Financial Controller

Job Overview

We are seeking a Financial Controller to oversee and manage project budgets throughout their entire lifespan, from initiation to completion, ensuring financial targets are met and exceeded.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and control budgets for projects from start to finish.
• Track project expenses including labor, materials, and overhead to ensure budget adherence.
• Detect, analyze, and address discrepancies between budgeted and actual costs.
• Propose and implement strategies to enhance cost efficiency and project profitability.
• Compile detailed cost reports and financial analyses for management to facilitate decision-making.
• Monitor and evaluate the company’s profit and loss statements, identifying patterns and areas to enhance financial performance.
• Forecast and monitor income streams to maintain accurate financial outlooks.
• Analyze sales pipelines to identify risks and opportunities for revenue growth.
• Foster collaborative relationships across departments such as Project Management, Sales, and Operations for data accuracy and operational efficiency.
• Keep abreast of industry trends and best practices in cost-control techniques.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related disciplines; CPA or CMA certifications are advantageous.
• At least five years of professional experience in cost management, project financial oversight, or related financial roles.
• Proven track record in managing project budgets and identifying avenues to reduce costs.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to detect and rectify financial inconsistencies.
• Effective communication skills with an ability to collaborate across different organizational levels.
• Proficiency in financial modeling, budgeting, and forecasting, particularly using Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with cost control software like Primavera or Deltek is beneficial.

Compensation

The salary for this role is 15,000 AED per month.
