Financial Accountant

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled Qualified Accountant to fully manage our financial functions. This position involves leading financial operations, implementing process enhancements, and advising management to promote business growth, improve efficiency, and reduce expenses.

Core Responsibilities

• Take complete responsibility for financial controls including Credit Control, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and ensuring adherence to Taxation laws.
• Oversee the billing cycle related to our local customer accounts.
• Initiate and carry out strategic reviews aimed at enhancing system efficiencies and lowering operational costs throughout the company.
• Collaborate with senior managers to identify opportunities for operational improvements and workflow optimization across various departments.
• Provide comprehensive financial analysis and strategic decision-making assistance to senior leadership.
• Fulfill special reporting requirements and conduct business analyses as requested by Business Managers.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Professional accounting qualification such as ACCA, ACA, or CPA with at least two years of experience in a comparable financial management capacity following qualification.
• Demonstrable leadership skills with expertise in team management and organizational abilities.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills focusing on establishing effective internal controls and maintaining high standards of accuracy.
• Commitment to ongoing improvement of systems, processes, and personal professional development.
• Excellent written and oral communication capabilities, adept at explaining complex financial information to stakeholders without a finance background.
• Advanced proficiency in IT, including expert skills in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with up-to-date accounting software.

Additional Details

This is a full-time role requiring attendance on-site for five days each week at our Cork, Ireland location.
