Key Responsibilities

• Report directly to the Head of Finance, managing finance operations and performing essential financial accounting for New Zealand and Australia.
• Take full accountability for month-end close processes and core financial reporting, ensuring precision and adherence to deadlines.
• Enhance finance-related processes, systems, internal controls, and compliance standards by establishing clear benchmarks for excellence.
• Lead coordination efforts with external auditors to facilitate smooth audit activities.
• Collaborate closely with finance leadership and senior stakeholders to support organizational goals.
• Drive improvements within the finance function to align with ongoing business growth.

Qualifications and Experience

• Demonstrated experience as a Financial Accountant with the ability to independently manage responsibilities.
• A strong commitment to process improvements, focusing on controls, governance, compliance, and system optimization.
• Experience working with both New Zealand and Australian payroll systems is highly advantageous.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of engaging with peers and senior leaders to influence and implement change.
• Confident working in a fast-paced environment, exhibiting proactivity and resilience.
• Professional accounting qualification, such as CA or CPA, is expected.
• Experience across various industries is welcome, with Financial Services background considered a bonus.

Additional Details

• This position is a fixed-term contract lasting six months, with the possibility of extension or transition to a permanent role.
• Immediate start is desired.

• Work location is in Avondale, Auckland; onsite presence is required, with flexible start and finish times and parking facilities available.
