Finance & Accounting Executive

Role Overview

The Finance & Accounting Executive position is a part-time opportunity supporting daily financial and accounting operations for Vietnam National University, Hanoi. This hybrid role requires presence at the Sharjah location with some allowance for remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements ensuring accuracy and compliance.
• Maintain precise accounting records and manage general ledger activities.
• Assist in budgeting processes and monitor expense tracking.
• Support internal financial reporting requirements and communicate findings effectively to stakeholders.
• Perform account reconciliations and assist with auditing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to applicable policies and regulatory standards.

Candidate Qualifications

• Strong foundation in accounting including bookkeeping, ledger management, and financial reporting standards knowledge.
• Proficient in finance functions such as budgeting, forecasting, and conducting basic financial analyses.
• Ability to prepare, interpret, and analyze financial statements to aid decision-making and maintain compliance.
• Excellent analytical skills to identify trends, disparities, and optimize processes.
• Effective communication skills for clear financial explanation and teamwork with academic and administrative personnel.
• Experience with accounting software, spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel), and general office productivity tools is desirable.
• Detail-oriented with high integrity and multitasking capability in a flexible part-time hybrid work environment.
• Academic credentials such as a degree or diploma in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related disciplines preferred; experience in education or public sector finance valued.
