Role Overview

Amid the energy sector's transformation towards decarbonization, digitalization, and decentralization, blockchain technology plays a pivotal role in upgrading energy infrastructure. Traditional centralized energy systems face challenges including lack of transparency, inefficient regional cooperation, energy tracking difficulties, and complex carbon management. Blockchain, with its distributed ledger, real-time validation, immutability, and smart contract automation offers innovative solutions for energy management, green power marketplaces, and carbon asset transactions.

The Executive Vice President (EVP) of Operational Excellence holds a senior leadership role responsible for driving enterprise-wide initiatives that enhance operational efficiency, quality, scalability, and overall organizational effectiveness. This position champions a culture of continuous improvement by optimizing operational models, eliminating redundancies, lowering costs, and standardizing processes across divisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Formulate and implement comprehensive operational excellence strategies aligned with corporate goals.
• Create a consistent framework for performance enhancement, continuous improvement, and effectiveness across the enterprise.
• Set priorities, performance standards, KPIs, and targets for operational improvements.
• Lead initiatives aiming to boost productivity, quality, efficiency, and profitability organization-wide.
• Encourage accountability and consistent application of operational excellence methodologies across units and regions.
• Drive extensive process improvement projects by analyzing workflows and removing inefficiencies.
• Apply methodologies including Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, and Total Quality Management to standardize processes and reduce waste.
• Develop scalable operating models to support sustainable organizational growth.
• Establish and govern KPIs, performance benchmarks, and create executive dashboards for operational insights.
• Conduct performance gap analysis and lead corrective actions through senior leadership reviews.
• Identify cost reduction opportunities without compromising quality or service standards.
• Enhance productivity leveraging process redesign, resource optimization, and adoption of technology.
• Partner with finance and business units to quantify cost savings and financial benefits.
• Lead digital transformation efforts incorporating automation, AI, analytics, and enterprise systems.
• Support adoption of digital platforms and promote data-driven operational decisions.
• Manage enterprise-wide change programs to embed new operating models and foster continuous improvement cultures.
• Develop quality control, risk management, and operational governance frameworks ensuring compliance and resilience.
• Build and mentor high-performing operational excellence teams, while facilitating leadership development and succession planning.

Qualifications and Experience

• Over 18 years in progressive operational leadership roles focusing on excellence, transformation, and continuous improvement.
• Proven track record leading large-scale operational transformations and achieving measurable business results.
• Deep expertise with Lean, Six Sigma, Kaizen, process optimization, and performance improvement frameworks.
• Experience collaborating with CEOs, boards, and senior executives across multi-site, global business environments.
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional transformation programs effectively.
