Executive Director of Technology Operations

Job Overview

The Executive Director of Technology Operations leads the management, governance, and operational execution of the company’s technology division. This role ensures technology assets, systems, infrastructure, development workflows, and day-to-day operations effectively support business goals through secure, scalable delivery.

Primary Responsibilities

• Formulate and execute technology operations strategies that align with corporate and tech objectives.
• Translate technology plans into actionable operational goals and measurable results.
• Drive operational excellence in software development, infrastructure, cybersecurity, cloud services, and IT support.
• Create governance frameworks to oversee technology initiative implementation efficiently.
• Manage enterprise technology programs by overseeing project planning, execution, budgeting, and resource allocation to ensure on-time and on-budget delivery.
• Provide leadership through dashboards and reporting to track technology performance.
• Standardize and enhance technology procedures, adopting best practices such as SDLC, DevOps, ITSM, Agile, and project management.
• Promote process automation and workflow refinement to boost operational efficiency.
• Maintain compliance with internal controls and regulatory requirements.
• Supervise IT infrastructure, cloud platforms, networking, and service operations to guarantee reliability and scalability.
• Lead initiatives for service monitoring, incident resolution, disaster recovery, and business continuity.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity teams to safeguard systems and data, managing operational risks and ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Develop and track KPIs, SLAs, and other performance indicators to guide continuous improvement and informed decision-making.
• Partner cross-functionally with product, engineering, IT, finance, HR, and business leaders to align technology operations with organizational goals.
• Build strong technology operations teams, fostering leadership development, talent planning, accountability, and innovation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, IT, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field; Master’s or MBA preferred.
• At least 18 years of progressive experience in technology operations or engineering management, including over 8 years in senior leadership roles.
• Demonstrated success managing extensive technology organizations, leading digital transformation, and overseeing enterprise operations.
• Expertise in software development operations, cloud infrastructure, cybersecurity, and governance.
• Experience with multinational or fast-growing technology enterprises is advantageous.
