Overview
An independent and confidential academy dedicated to the retail sector is searching for an accomplished Executive Director to steer its strategic direction, ensure operational excellence, and foster sustainable organizational growth. This leader will be responsible for inspiring national talent development and managing key partnerships.
Primary Duties
- Direct overall operations and implement the academy's strategic objectives.
- Create and execute comprehensive strategic and operational plans.
- Establish and nurture collaborations with both governmental bodies and private industry players.
- Supervise the design of tailored training programs and certifications that meet current labor market demands.
- Oversee the performance and partnership with the operating company managing the academy.
- Promote financial health through revenue enhancement and diligent budget oversight.
- Maintain robust governance standards, risk management practices, and regulatory compliance.
- Serve as the academy's representative among stakeholders and in the broader industry community.
Candidate Profile
- Holder of a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related discipline; a Master's degree in Business Administration or Project Management is advantageous.
- At least 10 years of pertinent professional experience, including a minimum of 2 years in senior leadership roles.
- Background in managing training initiatives or educational institutions, ideally in retail and wholesale sectors.
- Proven track record in guiding strategic projects and driving organizational transformation.
- Excellent leadership capabilities, strong stakeholder engagement, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
