Role Overview

The Estimator will be responsible for generating precise cost calculations for various printing and packaging projects ranging from paper bags and cups to customized food-grade packaging products. This role plays a crucial part in assisting the sales and production teams in formulating competitive pricing strategies while safeguarding profit margins.

Key Duties

• Develop comprehensive cost estimates for printing and packaging tasks considering specifications, materials, and manufacturing needs.
• Collaborate with teams in production, procurement, and sales to acquire accurate data for job costing.
• Examine costs related to paper, ink, printing plates, and finishing to create profitable and market-aligned quotations.
• Update and manage pricing databases and records of past job costs.
• Assess customer requirements and suggest the most economical production methods.
• Provide timely quotations to assist the sales team in responding to client requests.
• Monitor estimate precision by comparing with actual job costs and identify discrepancies.

Candidate Requirements

• At least two years of experience in estimating within printing, packaging, or manufacturing sectors.
• In-depth knowledge of print production techniques, including offset, flexo, or digital technologies.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and estimation or ERP software tools.
• High attention to detail combined with strong analytical and numerical capabilities.
• Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic or Hindi is advantageous.
• Current residence in the UAE or willingness to relocate there.
