Equipment Readiness Technician

Role Overview

The Equipment Readiness Technician ensures timely delivery and availability of equipment to meet operational requirements. This role focuses on enhancing the reliability and utilization of equipment assets, thereby optimizing operational efficiency and reducing service costs.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the Equipment Readiness Lead and Engineer in preparing equipment for operational deployment.
• Carry out assigned work orders primarily involving noninvasive maintenance and final preparation of surface and downhole equipment including readiness of storage boxes.
• Confirm that equipment certifications and calibrations are current and valid.
• Execute or assist with final functional tests such as calibration, inspection, certification, including Wireline Operational Combination Checks, pressure tests, measurement calibrations, and metrological inspections.
• Utilize the Division's Computerized Maintenance Management System to complete work orders accurately and in compliance with standards.
• Organize and prepare documentation related to calibration, functional testing, material certifications, inspections, and third-party quality verifications when applicable.
• Prepare equipment and critical spare parts for shipment and staging according to prearranged plans or designated loading areas.
• In the absence of planning support or other readiness personnel, handle loading of equipment onto transport vehicles.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives targeting efficiency gains in equipment readiness, service cost reduction, and asset management.
• Adhere to established Technology Lifecycle Management standards and the Competency Management System.

Candidate Requirements

• Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a similar technical field.
• Between 2 to 5 years of workshop experience related to equipment maintenance or preparation.
• Demonstrated strength in communication, planning, and problem-solving abilities.
