Job description
Role Overview
We are seeking an Entry-Level Game Operations Specialist passionate about understanding player experience and cultural diversity in gaming. This role focuses on analyzing player preferences and behaviors across different language regions and managing gaming community engagement to enhance product strategies and localization efforts.
Key Responsibilities
- Gather and analyze player insights through community monitoring, surveys, interviews, and sentiment analysis of forums and social platforms to inform project teams with data-driven recommendations.
- Oversee daily operations of global gaming communities such as Discord, engage proactively with players, synthesize user feedback, detect shifts in sentiment or publicity risks, and nurture community growth and retention.
- Support localized beta testing by managing tester access, facilitating player communications, identifying cultural sensitivities, and recommending cultural adaptations from the user perspective.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Current university student or recent graduate with a Bachelor’s degree or higher.
- Professional working proficiency in English or Mandarin; basic Mandarin skills preferred to collaborate with Chinese teams; proficiency in Japanese or Korean is advantageous.
- Knowledge of Japanese or Korean cultural markets and gaming community ecosystems is preferred.
- Strong enthusiasm for the gaming industry with insights into player behavior and market trends.
- Affiliate or familiarity with ACG culture (Anime, Comics, Games) is a plus.
