Team Overview
The Go-To-Market (GTM) team at Beam AI is tasked with introducing AI agents into authentic enterprise contexts. Collaborating tightly with sales, marketing, product, and deployment teams, they focus on identifying impactful use cases, molding solutions, and ensuring customers realize measurable benefits.
Unlike conventional SaaS sales groups, Beam AI is creating innovative sales strategies and repeatable methods to embed AI into enterprise operations. This collaborative environment involves working alongside seasoned GTM leaders, Account Executives, and Solutions Engineers with a focus on continuous learning and execution.
Role Summary
As Beam AI scales its outbound sales efforts amidst growing demand, the Enterprise Sales Development Representative (SDR) role involves developing the initial sales pipeline. Responsibilities include researching high-priority target accounts, engaging with senior decision-makers via thoughtful outbound outreach, qualifying inbound leads, and partnering with Account Executives and GTM leadership to foster and advance strategic opportunities.
This role carries significant impact within the GTM team, managing outbound communications, discovery, and qualification across key accounts within ongoing enterprise sales processes. The SDR aids the generation of initial meaningful conversations and gains insight into how complex AI-related sales are secured.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate target companies, identify the right decision-makers, and tailor outreach with insights about each prospect's business situation.
- Assess inbound leads based on Ideal Customer Profile (ICP) criteria and rapidly transfer them to the appropriate Account Executive.
- Drive qualified appointment setting for Account Executives using targeted, multi-channel outreach methods including email, phone calls, video messages, and social platforms.
- Collaborate on account planning, territory management, and sequence creation with AEs and GTM leaders.
- Ensure CRM is meticulously updated with accurate pipeline details and clear handoff notes.
- Work closely with marketing to test and refine messaging, sequences, and channels, incorporating insights into GTM strategies.
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly targets for qualified meetings, opportunities, pipeline impact, CRM data integrity, and outreach effectiveness.
- Stay well-informed about the AI agent market, Beam's offerings, and relevant industries to effectively converse with senior buyers.
Required Qualifications
- Proven achievement in SDR/BDR roles, internships, entrepreneurial projects, competitive environments, or similar goal-driven experiences.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with a solid understanding of AI agent technologies, capable of persuasive discussions with enterprise stakeholders immediately.
- Familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce or HubSpot and outbound sales tools like Outreach, SalesLoft, or Apollo.
- Strong interest and enthusiasm for AI, automation, and enterprise software domains.
- Demonstrated success in hitting or exceeding pipeline or meeting-related goals.
Preferred Attributes
- Experience selling to sectors such as operations, finance, IT, customer experience, or regulated industries.
- Background or exposure to AI, automation, RPA, or workflow-oriented software solutions.
- Fluency in multiple languages, with German being highly advantageous for European markets.
- Knowledge of verticalized GTM strategies or named-account selling approaches.
- Contributions to outbound playbook or sales sequence development.
- Experience working within a fast-growing startup environment.
