Job description
Position Overview
We are seeking a knowledgeable Enercon Wind Turbine Technician to support our growing fleet of Enercon turbines across Wales. This full-time, remote role, based in South Wales, offers hands-on opportunities to maintain, troubleshoot, and improve wind turbine operations while occasionally traveling to site locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical expertise in maintaining and repairing Enercon wind turbines, including performing scheduled maintenance and responding to urgent call-outs.
- Diagnose issues related to electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems and conduct component inspections and replacements.
- Maintain detailed service reports and performance records during each turbine visit.
- Serve as the primary on-site liaison for customers, supplying timely updates and building confidence through clear communication.
- Strictly adhere to safety protocols, proactively identify hazards, and guarantee compliance with industry standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and operational teams to analyze operational data, error reports, and response times to enhance turbine efficiency and performance.
- Support remote turbine monitoring by working alongside control room teams as needed.
- Mentor and train new technicians, supporting their integration and on-site effectiveness.
Candidate Requirements
- Minimum of three years' experience working with Enercon turbines or similar models as a certified technician (CT) or accredited technician (AT).
- Solid expertise in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems of wind turbines.
- Ability and willingness to work in challenging environments including heights and varied weather conditions.
- Possession of a valid driver's license for travel purposes.
- Comprehensive understanding of safety regulations and industry standards within wind turbine maintenance.
