Role Overview

The Global Insights team at Reddit acts as the primary knowledge center, converting first-party and third-party data into actionable insights concerning user communities and cultural dialogues. The EMEA Insights Specialist will focus on commercial and consumer intelligence, aiding advertisers in optimizing their presence on Reddit and supporting Reddit's growth and positioning within EMEA markets.

As the inaugural dedicated Insights hire within Germany, this role will be the authoritative voice for insights across the DACH region, building strong relationships with global brands, agencies, and internal teams. The position melds consumer intelligence, cultural strategy, brand positioning, commercial storytelling, and regional market expertise to facilitate advertiser investment and audience expansion.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert complex data sets into persuasive, actionable insights and strategic guidance tailored for advertisers and internal teams.
• Develop research frameworks centered on clear business questions by selecting appropriate methodologies.
• Conduct and integrate qualitative and quantitative research to reveal cultural and consumer trends.
• Craft compelling sales narratives and strategic positioning that underpin advertiser acquisition and revenue development.
• Assist brands in leveraging Reddit through culturally nuanced audience and platform insights.
• Identify growth opportunities to strengthen Reddit’s market position in EMEA for both advertisers and consumers.
• Contribute to brand strategy, perception evaluation, and Jobs-to-be-Done frameworks.
• Deliver culturally relevant regional insights to inform marketing, communications, and growth strategies.
• Maintain a deep understanding of Reddit’s online communities, subcultures, and evolving social behaviors in fragmented EMEA markets.
• Serve as a subject matter expert on Reddit culture and platform dynamics within German and EMEA media landscapes.
• Produce sharp, provocative narratives that challenge norms and motivate action.
• Represent Reddit at industry events, client presentations, and thought leadership engagements.
• Influence senior stakeholders through concise, relevant storytelling and recommendations.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience in stakeholder-facing insights, strategy, analytics, or research within media owners, agencies, or platform companies.
• Complete fluency in German and English; proficiency in French is advantageous.
• Exceptional presentation and communication skills with experience representing insights publicly.
• Expertise in mixed-method research, including qualitative methods such as ethnography, focus groups, and social listening, and quantitative methods like survey design, segmentation, and statistical analysis.
• Strong knowledge of the German media and advertising ecosystem.
• Ability to credibly engage senior-level stakeholders across major German brands and agencies.
• Familiarity with platform analytics, first-party data, and syndicated research tools (e.g., GWI, Comscore, Ipsos).
• Versatility across various key advertiser industries including CPG, automotive, finance, technology, entertainment, and retail.
• Awareness of the competitive platform landscape across EMEA.
• Keen cultural intuition and curiosity about online behavior, digital communities, and emerging social patterns in EMEA markets.
• Comfortable working cross-functionally across diverse internal teams and managing priorities.
