Role Overview

This full-time Electrician role, based onsite in Whakatane, involves installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems related to refrigeration and general electrical equipment. Daily duties include wiring, testing, commissioning systems, performing routine upkeep, troubleshooting electrical faults, reading technical diagrams, adhering to safety standards, and documenting work efficiently. The Electrician will collaborate closely with other technicians and directly engage with customers on location to ensure quality service delivery.

Qualifications and Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of electrical principles applicable to commercial and residential settings.
• Experienced in electrical installation, wiring, and system commissioning.
• Proven ability to maintain and repair electrical equipment and systems.
• Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing and fixing electrical issues.
• Holding a relevant electrical trade qualification, apprenticeship, or certification, including a current practicing license as mandated in New Zealand.
• Thorough understanding of electrical safety protocols, local regulations, and industry standards.
• Competent in reading and interpreting technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
• Good communication abilities, dependability, and comfort working both independently and as part of a team.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and willingness to travel within the regional customer base.
