Job Overview
The Duty Engineer at Fairmont Agra is entrusted with ensuring the seamless functioning of all hotel engineering systems such as electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, and other building services. This position plays a pivotal role in maintaining guest comfort and safety as well as ensuring operational dependability through preventive maintenance and compliance with hotel standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee and maintain all engineering systems and equipment throughout the hotel premises.
- Ensure consistent and efficient functioning of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, water supply, kitchen appliances, and other hotel infrastructure.
- Swiftly address engineering breakdowns, guest concerns, and operational maintenance requests.
- Conduct routine inspections across guest rooms, public spaces, back-of-house areas, and plant rooms.
- Guarantee that all equipment operates safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with various departments to resolve maintenance-related challenges.
- Execute scheduled preventive maintenance according to hotel guidelines.
- Respond to breakdowns with efficient troubleshooting and repairs.
- Accurately document maintenance activities, equipment inspections, and repairs.
- Monitor key equipment conditions and report any discrepancies to the Chief Engineer.
- Maintain detailed records of work orders and maintenance reports.
- Adhere strictly to safety protocols, government regulations, and hotel policies.
- Keep an active watch on fire and life safety systems and promptly report any anomalies.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Possession of a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Hotel Engineering, or related disciplines.
- At least 4 to 5 years of professional experience in hotel engineering, facilities management, or building maintenance.
- Strong understanding of HVAC, electrical systems, plumbing, and overall maintenance procedures.
