About the Role
As a Dispenser at our Uddingston store, you will play a vital role within our pharmacy team, assisting pharmacists and healthcare professionals to deliver safe, efficient pharmacy and healthcare services. This position involves engaging with patients by understanding their needs, dispensing prescriptions accurately, and advising on medicine usage to support wellness decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Dispense prescriptions accurately while ensuring the safe supply of medicines, including ordering, labelling, endorsing, and prescription collection processes.
- Collaborate with pharmacy colleagues to manage and deliver pharmacy services effectively.
- Offer advice on medications and direct patient queries to the Pharmacist when necessary.
- Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure compliance with safe, legal dispensing protocols.
- Stay informed about new in-store innovations and adhere to operational processes.
- Assist patients in managing their prescriptions, promoting adherence and minimizing medication waste.
- Utilize evolving pharmacy technology to enhance dispensing processes and patient safety.
Qualifications and Experience
- Must have completed the Pharmacy Advisor NVQ2 qualification or equivalent, or be progressing with an MPharm degree having completed the first year.
- Legal right to work in the UK is essential; visa sponsorship is not offered.
- Previous community pharmacy experience is advantageous.

This role is strictly in-store and requires presence at the Uddingston location; remote applications will not be considered.
