About the Role
NiCE, a global front-runner in cloud-based contact center technology, is seeking a skilled Director for Portfolio Solutions Engineering to lead an international team driving adoption of CXone and Digital solutions across markets. This senior position involves consultative engagement with prospects to define business goals and architect innovative solutions that address evolving contact center and digital requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the entire presales lifecycle including pipeline management, solution strategy development, proof-of-concept (POC) oversight, and analyzing win/loss outcomes.
- Lead enterprise AI-related deals involving complex sales cycles from initial discovery through technical approval.
- Design and supervise POCs including defining data needs, model assessment, integration architecture, and framing outcomes.
- Mentor Solutions Consultants on AI technical solution development, effective storytelling, and commercial positioning.
- Create scalable playbooks, demo frameworks, and discovery tools tailored for AI/ML solutions.
- Provide structured insights from field activities to influence product development and go-to-market strategies.
- Represent NiCE at industry events and engage in customer advisory discussions.
Qualifications and Expertise
- 12 to 16 years of experience in Pre-Sales, Solution Consulting, or Sales Engineering roles, with at least 3 years in a leadership position.
- At least 2 years of direct experience hands-on with AI product presales activities.
- Familiarity with the AI technology stack, including large language models, embeddings, vector databases, inference cost considerations, token economics, prompt engineering, retrieval-augmented generation pipelines, and API-oriented AI services.
- Capability to independently scope and execute technically robust POCs without intermediary engineering support.
- Strong commercial awareness concerning AI pricing strategies such as tokens, computing costs, licensing, and comprehensive cost of ownership discussions with procurement and finance teams.
- Extensive experience managing sophisticated and multi-stakeholder enterprise sales processes.
- Leadership style characterized by active involvement and hands-on mentoring through participation in deals from discovery to team debriefs.
