Overview
We are seeking a Director of Operational Performance located in the United States who will spearhead initiatives to enhance operational excellence across pharmacy operations. This leadership role focuses on developing scalable processes, strategic performance management, and continuous improvement programs to boost efficiency, quality, and service delivery. Collaboration with leadership and cross-functional teams is essential to optimize workflows, technology integration, and workforce management with a strategic and analytical approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and lead operational performance strategies aligned with organizational goals within pharmacy operations.
- Ensure attainment of productivity, turnaround time, quality, and service-level targets.
- Identify, prioritize, and implement process improvements for enhanced efficiency and scalability.
- Design, monitor, and refine key performance indicators, reporting frameworks, and performance review routines.
- Facilitate implementation of technology solutions that advance automation, workflow efficiencies, and operational transparency.
- Collaborate with cross-functional leaders to support enterprise-wide initiatives and maximize business outcomes.
- Manage workforce planning, including staffing models and resource optimization methodologies.
- Lead root cause analyses to uncover operational issues and deploy sustainable solutions.
- Oversee operational budgeting and contribute to financial effectiveness objectives.
- Guide transitions and operational improvements in pharmacy operating systems and platforms.
- Build partnerships with operational leaders and drive decision-making through data-informed insights.
- Develop and mentor high-performing teams while fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Healthcare, Business, or related field; PharmD is preferable.
- At least 7 years of advancing leadership experience in pharmacy operations or comparable healthcare sectors.
- Background managing high-volume pharmacy processing, fulfillment operations, or technology-driven healthcare workflows.
- Proven track record leading multi-unit teams exceeding 100 personnel, including pharmacists and pharmacy technicians.
- Expertise in operational strategy, workflow optimization, and KPI management.
- Strong analytical skills to evaluate performance metrics and implement effective improvements.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management capabilities to influence cross-functional collaboration.
- Experience addressing complex operational challenges with effective problem-solving skills.
- Able to thrive in dynamic, fast-paced healthcare environments.
