Role Summary

We are seeking a Digital Engineering Lead focused on water projects based in Hamilton, with possible placements in Auckland, Wellington, or Christchurch. This key position involves both hands-on project contributions and national leadership to enhance digital delivery. You will influence standards, tools, and workflows to boost quality and efficiency across teams.

Key Responsibilities

  • Guide and assist digital project delivery within the water sector, contributing to modelling, design, and technical outputs.
  • Develop and embed uniform modelling standards, workflows, and quality assurance methodologies.
  • Serve as a technical consultant for the Water Leadership Team on digital engineering practices.
  • Lead advancements in tools, systems, and processes to improve efficiency and project outcomes.
  • Mentor and build skills within project teams nationally.
  • Promote and implement ISO 19650-aligned digital management practices.
  • Contribute to the strategic planning for digital engineering in the water field.
  • Ensure superior client deliverables through consistent and dependable digital approaches.

Candidate Profile

  • Demonstrated extensive experience in digital engineering related to infrastructure or water sectors, with proficiency in Civil 3D and/or Plant 3D.
  • Proven track record in leading digital delivery standards, workflows, and quality controls across various teams.
  • Hands-on mindset capable of direct project involvement while providing coaching support.
  • Experience in steering digital transformation efforts within engineering contexts.
  • Effective at engaging and influencing stakeholders at multiple organizational levels.
  • Committed to innovation and ongoing improvement in digital engineering practices.
  • Preferably holds a tertiary engineering qualification or possesses equivalent industry experience.
