About RJE Interiors and Role Overview

RJE Interiors is looking to add a Designer to its Cincinnati office team. This role focuses on specifying commercial furniture and contributing to interior design projects. The Designer will report directly to senior leadership within the organization.

Qualifications and Skills

• A 4-year degree in Interior Design is required.
• 1 to 2 years of prior experience in design related to the commercial furniture sector is preferred but not mandatory.
• Must be proficient in AutoCAD software.
• Familiarity with CET, CAP 20/20, and Adobe Creative Suite is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office applications is necessary.
• Demonstrated critical and creative problem-solving capabilities are essential.
• Ability to efficiently manage multiple tasks simultaneously, sometimes under tight deadlines.

Main Responsibilities

• Engage in client fact-finding and programming activities to gather project needs.
• Create compelling design presentations focusing on furniture specifications.
• Develop detailed furniture floorplans, specifications, and finish packages for client approval.
• Support bid and proposal processes by compiling necessary collateral materials.
• Participate actively in product evaluation and making selection decisions.
• Prepare installation packets to facilitate smooth project execution.
• Perform field measurements as required to ensure accuracy and fit.
