About Amca
Amca is dedicated to revitalizing America's industrial foundation, particularly in aviation and military manufacturing. Since the 1990s, the nation's capacity to produce and maintain vital systems has diminished, creating a significant production gap. Operating seven facilities nationwide, including a cutting-edge prototyping and testing center in El Segundo, Amca delivers key components like avionics, hydraulic, and electrical parts for prominent platforms such as the F-35, F-16, F/A-18, 737MAX, 787, A320neo, A321, Mk-48, and M1 Abrams.
Role Overview
The Designer will be instrumental in realizing Amca's visual brand identity across diverse materials, supporting a new brand system crafted with creative partners. Collaborating with senior design and strategy leadership, the role spans a broad scope of creative projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop bold, maximalist posters reflecting Amca's mission for display at offices and manufacturing sites.
- Design highly customized, poster-inspired slide presentations for clients.
- Create branded merchandise that embodies the culture built over decades for Amca's various brands.
- Produce unique marketing materials including brochures, physical objects, and packaging tailored to flagship brands.
Candidate Profile
- Highly skilled graphic designer proficient with Adobe Suite and Figma.
- A designer who embraces diverse media expressions beyond traditional design constraints.
- A believer in integrating aesthetics and function seamlessly.
- Appreciates quality graphic design styles primarily from the 1950s to 1970s over most contemporary designs.
- Views design as comprehensive experience shaping rather than mere visual asset creation.
- Experienced in campaign conceptualization and operationalizing concepts via sourcing and partnerships.
- Adept at managing multiple projects under strict deadlines and making strategic compromises.
Preferred Additional Skills
- Ability to independently develop webpages through coding or AI tools.
- Familiarity with 3D design tools such as Blender, Cinema 4D, or Maya.
- Illustration capabilities.
Location and Environment
This position is fully on-site at Amca's newly designed office and factory in El Segundo, a hub for Southern California's aviation industry.
Compensation
The annual salary range for this role is $80,000 to $120,000 USD.
Compliance and Eligibility
This role requires handling of information regulated under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Applicants must be U.S. persons as defined by ITAR (U.S. citizens, permanent residents, or protected persons per U.S. Code 8 USC 1324b(a)(3)).
Equal Opportunity Statement
Amca upholds a strict non-discrimination policy covering race, color, religion, national origin, disability, gender, age, sexual orientation, veteran status, and all other legally protected categories under state and federal law.
