Role overview
This position focuses on building accurate demand forecasts for the Seafood business. The role requires close attention to historical sales trends, seasonality, upcoming sales and marketing plans, economic conditions, weather, regulatory changes, and competitive movements, supported by forecasting software.
Key responsibilities
- Keep the IBP planning environment accurate, clean, and fully maintained.
- Make sure all SKUs are reviewed and reconciled on a weekly basis by depot.
- Set up newly introduced SKUs correctly and ensure any updates to product or geographic hierarchy are reflected without delay.
- Capture both historical and upcoming events correctly within the IBP system.
- Maintain rolling 18-month forecasts on a weekly and monthly basis, broken down by week, depot, and SKU.
- Include regional and local events in the forecasting process through bottom-up forecasting.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in business administration or a related discipline is required.
- Hands-on experience using forecasting platforms such as IBP or SAP is needed.
- Applicants should have 3 to 5 years of experience in business planning or demand forecasting, ideally in a chilled FMCG environment with multiple SKUs.
- Strong English and Arabic communication skills are important.
