Role overview

This position focuses on getting food orders to customers safely, on time, and in line with company driving and service standards. The role also includes supporting in-store operations when needed.

Key duties

Deliver orders in a safe and courteous way while following all traffic laws and local rules.
Complete the company-approved safe delivery process and wear a seat belt at all times while driving.
Understand the delivery area, make a cash drop after each delivery, and never leave for a delivery with more than $20.00 in cash.
Keep a professional, positive image for customers and follow company policies and brand standards.
Prepare for deliveries by ensuring you have a full tank of gas, full uniform, a cartop light after dark, and a vehicle that is safe and properly maintained.
Report any pressure to drive unsafely to the safety hotline (1-800-284-0911) and to the owner and/or supervisor.
Maintain a clean driving record and tell the manager right away about any changes.
Handle customer questions or concerns calmly, politely, and with a service-first attitude.
Be able to read a map and navigate the delivery area.
Support store operations as needed, including answering phones promptly, helping prepare pizzas and food, stocking the makeline and soda cooler, folding boxes, handling coupons, cleaning surfaces, sweeping, mopping, and other maintenance tasks assigned by management.
Maintain all company image standards.

Equipment and work setting

You will use your own automobile along with food-preparation tools, cleaning supplies, and boxes. Deliveries are done outdoors, while indoor work may involve exposure to heat from cooking.

Requirements

Applicants must be at least 18 years old and hold a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record that meets company standards. A dependable, well-maintained vehicle with proper insurance is also required. The role calls for a 2-year driving record, no more than 2 violations in the past 2 years, a satisfactory background check, a positive attitude, and a strong personal and vehicle presentation.
