Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Deli Assistant to join our team at Centra in Ballina, County Tipperary. The primary responsibility in this role is to prepare premium hot and cold deli items while prioritizing excellent customer satisfaction.
Candidate Profile
- Having HACCP certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Strong communication abilities are essential.
- Experience in customer service adds value.
- Ability to collaborate within a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently in a busy environment.
- A genuine enthusiasm for food and the capability to engage and inspire customers.
Key Responsibilities
- Embody the Centra brand values: Pride, Energy, Creativity, and Community Focus.
- Prepare customer orders in all fresh food sections including crafting sandwiches and rolls, serving hot dishes, and slicing meats with adherence to the store's portion control guidelines.
- Cook, prepare, and present foods for sale throughout the operating hours.
- Maintain high standards of display for all fresh food counters consistently during the day.
- Share passion for quality food by offering knowledge, recipes, and personal suggestions to customers.
- Address customer inquiries promptly and professionally following store policies.
