Role Overview
The Decor Planning Specialist will focus on expanding The Wedding Company's wedding decor segment within Rajasthan. This includes vendor coordination, commercial negotiations, pricing decor services, and understanding client needs. The position suits an individual who thrives balancing creative and business responsibilities and aspires to lead the decor category's growth in this developing market. With growth, the specialist may choose to focus either on vendor management operations or on client-focused decor sales and planning depending on their strengths and preferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee decor vendor assignments and cultivate vendor relationships throughout Rajasthan.
- Manage decor pricing and conduct negotiations with vendors to secure favorable terms.
- Ensure all decor proposals align with company quality standards.
- Collaborate closely with client teams to identify and convert new decor business opportunities.
- Assess client requirements, budget constraints, and style preferences to provide tailored decor recommendations.
- Handle the entire decor booking cycle, from understanding client needs to finalizing vendor arrangements.
- Develop thorough insight into the local decor market, vendor options, pricing trends, and innovations.
- Identify and act upon opportunities to grow decor bookings, revenue, and category success.
Candidate Profile
- Possesses 2 to 5 years' experience in wedding decor, event production, decor planning, vendor management, or related areas.
- Holds a strong grasp of wedding decor specifications, production processes, and cost computations.
- Displays effective negotiation skills coupled with commercial acumen.
- Exhibits excellent communication and relationship-building capabilities.
- Comfortable working towards targets and accountable for results.
- Meticulous, well-organized, and adept at managing several tasks concurrently.
- Entrepreneurial spirit with readiness to contribute to a growing business segment.
- Experience in the Rajasthan wedding market is highly advantageous.
