Data Scientist / Senior Analyst - Supply Analytics (Bangkok, Relocation Provided)

Role Overview

This position is based in Bangkok, Thailand, with relocation assistance provided. It is a full-time, on-site role within Agoda's Supply Analytics team, which focuses on delivering insights to optimize supply dynamics, partner performance, and product development.

Key Responsibilities

• Convert project briefs into analytical tasks by defining questions, hypotheses, and narrative outlines.
• Handle and interpret data from extensive data warehouses, providing statistically robust analysis for varied stakeholders.
• Proactively discover growth opportunities within supply and across business functions.
• Lead initiatives that improve operational efficiency and support data-driven decision making in the Supply department.
• Manage projects to enhance the organization's data intelligence capabilities.
• Automate repetitive operational workflows and demonstrate resulting efficiency improvements.

Qualifications and Skills

• Minimum 2 to 5 years of experience in analytics, data science, business intelligence, or related areas.
• Expertise in SQL for complex data querying and manipulation.
• Proficient in data visualization tools, preferably Tableau.
• Strong skills in data analysis tools such as Excel and programming languages like Python or R.
• Bachelor’s degree in quantitative fields such as computer science, mathematics, economics, engineering, or finance.
• Familiarity with statistical modeling and machine learning techniques including hypothesis testing, regression analysis, logistic regression, and random forests.
• Experience managing stakeholders and delivering presentations to senior leadership.
• Competency in designing and analyzing A/B testing experiments.
• Ability to translate data insights into actionable business recommendations.
• Creative problem-solving capabilities and a hacker’s mindset for operational challenges.
• Superior communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Data-driven approach to decision-making and evaluation.
• Comfortable working in dynamic, fast-changing environments with the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.

Preferred Attributes

• Advanced degree such as an MBA or Master’s in quantitative fields.
• Certifications in program management like PMI or PRINCE2.
• Experience in Asian markets, travel industry, e-commerce, tech, or consulting.
