Overview

As a Data Science and AI Specialist at Qatar Airways, you will spearhead the creation of AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics solutions that enhance business value and decision-making. Your role involves developing predictive models, extracting insights from intricate datasets, and identifying opportunities for innovation and optimization. Collaborating with both business and technical teams, you will champion AI adoption and advance a data-driven culture in line with the enterprise Data & AI strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Enterprise Data & Analytics Program Manager in achieving results across assigned portfolios.
• Guarantee the quality, accuracy, and enrichment of datasets under ED&A jurisdiction.
• Act as an AI and data modeling subject matter expert within ED&A portfolios.
• Design and deploy AI algorithms to automate analytics workflows and detect trends, risks, and anomalies.
• Create and maintain scalable data models supporting planning, forecasting, and reporting for various business functions.
• Facilitate clear communication between data engineering teams and portfolio stakeholders to refine requirements.
• Deliver timely and precise data-driven insights to aid strategic and operational decisions.
• Provide actionable analysis based on AI outputs and data models to guide business strategies.
• Continuously enhance existing models and analytical tools for better efficiency and accuracy.
• Apply agile methods to ensure prioritized and prompt deliverables while proactively identifying innovation and value creation opportunities within ED&A portfolios.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent with a minimum of four years relevant experience.
• At least 4 years in a similar capacity involving data science and AI.
• Expertise in Python, SQL, and additional programming languages for data analysis, machine learning, AI model creation, and data handling.
• Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform services for developing scalable AI and data science solutions.
• Ability to distill technical findings into practical strategies and foster data literacy among teams.
• Proven capability in managing and analyzing large volumes of data.
• Experience deriving insights from complex data sets and providing actionable recommendations to management.
• Skill in preparing and presenting business performance reports to mid and senior-level managers.
