Job Overview

We are seeking detail-oriented and highly organised individuals to join our team as Electronic Patient Record (EPR) Data Quality Analysts. You will contribute to a major digital transformation programme implemented across the Bath, Swindon and Wiltshire (BSW) healthcare system. Your efforts will ensure patient data is accurate, comprehensive, and ready for migration into the new shared Electronic Patient Record system, enhancing patient safety and supporting high-quality clinical care.

Main Responsibilities

  • Review, validate, and amend patient information in current systems as part of the EPR Data Quality Team.
  • Utilize various reports to identify and address data quality issues ensuring successful patient record migration.
  • Conduct specific data quality checks including resolving duplicate or invalid NHS numbers, completing missing patient demographic details, updating GP and practice information, verifying addresses and postcodes, and resolving historical appointment outcomes.
  • Assist the broader data migration and EPR implementation initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Essential: Maths GCSE or equivalent demonstrating numeracy.
  • Desirable: Further qualifications or work experience in mathematics, science, IT or related fields.
  • Beneficial: Familiarity with Oracle Health Millennium and NHS patient administration systems, Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools.
  • Essential: Understanding of patient confidentiality, ability to work effectively under pressure despite interruptions.
