This sector is valued over $1 trillion. The company has rapidly scaled from zero to seven figures in revenue within a year and is on a trajectory to grow tenfold. The team is small, empowered, and consistently outperforms larger competitors through exceptional execution.
The Opportunity
The startup is seeking its inaugural dedicated Customer Success / Account Manager to oversee post-sale engagement for a rapidly expanding portfolio of enterprise accounts in home services. This role is revenue-driven, focusing on establishing and refining the customer success strategy, enhancing retention, facilitating expansion, and transforming satisfied clients into growing revenue sources. The role involves close collaboration with the founding team to shape the company’s customer growth trajectory, with compensation closely tied to retention and account growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage retention and maximize net revenue retention (NRR) for a portfolio of enterprise customers.
- Develop and implement the customer success function and associated processes from the ground up.
- Generate expansion revenue by leading upselling and cross-selling initiatives.
- Collaborate with sales, product teams, and company leadership to achieve strong customer outcomes.
- Undertake customer visits approximately 25% of the time as required.
Requirements
- Two to four years of experience in customer success, account management, or another role focused on revenue generation.
- Excellent commercial acumen with a priority on customer expansion and net revenue retention.
- A proactive, builder mindset with proven ability to design and implement new processes.
- Willingness and ability to travel roughly 25% of the time.
- Experience in home services, trades, field-service management, or working within early-stage startups is advantageous.
