Role Overview
This opportunity is for a graduating student or recent graduate who is eager to learn and wants to build practical experience in a global, diverse workplace. The internship is within the Customer Services team and focuses on aerospace customer support, technical documentation, engineering workflows, and maintenance-related services.
As an Engineering Intern, you will work with experienced engineers to support technical service delivery, help coordinate activities, and contribute to projects serving a worldwide customer base.
Reporting Structure
This is a part-time onsite internship based in Doha, Qatar. You will report to the Customer Services Manager and may also work with teams such as procurement, quality, and engineering depending on business priorities and your development plan.
Responsibilities
- Assist different departments with routine operational, technical, and administrative tasks as needed.
- Work with cross-functional teams across the Middle East, Africa, and Turkey region, including engineering, quality, global supply chain, and logistics.
- Help prepare, organize, and maintain technical and operational records and documentation.
- Use internal systems and tools, including ERP software, to support projects and keep information accurate.
- Take part in initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and business performance.
- Support research, data gathering, analysis, and reporting for engineering and business activities.
- Assist local and global teams to ensure products and services are delivered on time and efficiently.
- Contribute to technical sales and marketing efforts by sharing engineering input.
- Support customer interactions, product demonstrations, and proposal development.
- Follow safety procedures and standards in daily work.
- Inform the manager about any unsafe conditions or safety risks observed at work.
- Carry out additional tasks assigned by management in line with training and learning goals.
- Protect confidential information by handling it carefully and sharing it only with authorized people.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing or recently finished a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a similar field.
- Prior exposure through an internship, academic project, or practical work in engineering, maintenance, manufacturing, or technical support is helpful but not mandatory.
- Basic knowledge of engineering concepts, technical drawings, and mechanical systems.
- Strong ability to analyze situations, troubleshoot issues, and solve problems.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team.
- Comfort using Microsoft Office; familiarity with CAD tools or other engineering software is a plus.
- Strong written and spoken English; additional languages are an advantage.
- Willingness to learn, take initiative, and adapt in a fast-moving multicultural setting.
- Customer-focused attitude with professional conduct and a readiness to support both internal and external stakeholders.
Internship Details
The internship is structured for 3 to 6 months and includes training and mentorship. Performance feedback will be provided regularly to support growth. High-performing interns may be considered for a full-time role after successful completion, depending on business needs and individual performance.
