Role Overview
Avenues Recovery Center seeks a Custodian for their Baton Rouge, LA facility. The position involves ensuring the property and plant remain clean and operational. The custodian will perform routine cleaning tasks, maintain supplies, manage garbage removal, support daily operations under the Executive Director’s guidance, and complete scheduled checklists to uphold facility standards. Reporting is required for activities completed and any issues must be brought to the Executive Director's attention promptly.
Essential Responsibilities
- Keep the facility and surrounding property clean and functioning smoothly.
- Carry out routine cleaning duties such as restocking and garbage disposal.
- Provide operational assistance as directed by the Executive Director.
- Follow daily, weekly, and monthly checklists to ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness.
- Accurately report completed tasks and escalate problems to management.
Candidate Profile
- No formal educational qualifications required.
- Preferably, candidates with at least two years of related custodial experience.
- Candidates in recovery must demonstrate a minimum of one year of continuous sobriety.
- Strong communication abilities, adeptness at multitasking, and solid time management skills.
- Highly responsible with keen attention to detail.
- A respectful, honest personality that exemplifies recovery values.
