Custodian

Overview

The Custodian position involves upholding the cleanliness and sanitation standards across all company facilities to ensure an orderly environment in line with established company policies.

Key Responsibilities

• Utilize hand brooms, power scrubbers, sweepers, and vacuum cleaners to clean terminal areas thoroughly according to company standards.
• Daily removal of refuse from offices, restrooms, and break rooms, ensuring trash receptacles are emptied and cleaned.
• Maintain restroom supplies consistently to keep them well stocked.
• Relocate, move, and adjust office furniture as needed to facilitate cleaning or operational needs.
• Monitor pest control systems for effectiveness and ensure a high standard of sanitation and housekeeping is maintained.
• Clear ice and snow from pedestrian walkways and parking lots to maintain safety.
• Keep company grounds free from litter and debris to uphold a clean and professional appearance.
• Complete company-mandated reports related to labor and equipment usage accurately and promptly.
• Maintain a detailed log documenting the history of equipment repairs sorted by type.
• Report any safety concerns immediately to the shift supervisor to promote workplace safety.
• Adhere strictly to OSHA and MSDS safety standards during all tasks.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail to ensure thorough cleanliness and maintenance.
• Effective communication skills for reporting and coordination.
• Previous custodial or related experience is required to perform duties competently.
